Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my portfolio. My name is William Ryan, and I’ve been a Graphic Designer for 11 years.

Professional History

I started designing professionally straight out of college at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). I worked with instructors and content experts to refresh and redesign their PowerPoints for online learning. Along with a team of video editors, we would take their slides and use them to make online lecture videos, which were then used as learning material for online courses. My time at the university gave me the opportunity to work with just about every type of creative medium across many areas of discipline. As someone who had very little experience with either in college, I never expected to fall in love with motion graphics and PowerPoint design.

All of my experience at UIUC led me to making the decision to go into business for myself and become a full time freelance designer. Over the last year, I’ve forged new client relationships and have found PowerPoint, Canva, and motion graphics to be my favored media.

Personal life

When I’m not designing, I love spending time with my wife, my two dogs, and my three cats. My hobbies include running, boxing, and playing as my group’s Dungeon Master in my weekly Dungeons & Dragons game.
